Successfully conducted experiment on operating G-mail using ultra-high-density electroencephalogram

Body
On May 11th, 2023, the Sasai team of the Araya Research and Development Department successfully conducted an experimental operation of G-mail using a high-density EEG (electroencephalogram) device. In this study, a system combining EEG and AI was constructed and tested. The non-invasive high-density EEG device was used to acquire EEG data during speech, which was then used to train an AI model. The experiment involved operating G-mail using brain waves and ChatGPT, by combining the trained AI and the developed system.

We aim to develop BMI (Brain-Machine Interface) that can achieve more by further developing this research, expanding the options for diverse individuals to overcome disabilities in society and engage in social participation and communication. We will announce the details of the research as progress is made.
